Piatruba
Piatruba is coming to the Scandinavian Cultural Center for the very first time! The Swedish trio plays music from Oskar Stenmark’s ancestors in Gärdebyn, Dalecarlia. Polskas, waltzes and walking tunes have been passed on for many generations, some melodies are traced back to the 18th century. Piatruba mixes these songs with a contemporary expression, adding improvisation to tell old stories in a new way. The result is an exciting show where tradition meets the future.
Featuring:
Oskar Stenmark – Flugelhorn
Robin Skarin – Piano
Linus Fredin – Upright bass
