Join us in commemorating the 200th anniversary of the first organized Norwegian emigration to the United States. On July 4, 1825, the sloop Restauration set sail from Stavanger, Norway, carrying 52 hopeful emigrants seeking a new life in America. This voyage marked the beginning of a significant chapter in Norwegian-American history, leading to nearly 900,000 Norwegians immigrating to North America over the next century.

The flag-raising ceremony will honor this historic journey and celebrate the enduring ties between Norway and the United States. The event will feature:
