Join the SCC as we screen Strange and Familiar: Architecture on Fogo Island as part of Boston Design Week. The film documents, Bergen, Norway-based Saunders Architecture, Fogo Island project in which Saunders skillfully designs buildings that pay homage to the traditional white timber houses that dot the Norwegian fjords in the body ultra-modern architecture. The final result achieves a dramatic balance of new (strange) and familiar. Through the flowing, visual narrative viewers of Strange and Familiar will be captivated by the process of this award-winning contemporary Norwegian firm.
